Resumo

Este trabalho apresenta um panorama das abordagens utilizadas por pesquisadores dos Estudos Sociais da Ciência e Tecnologia em países avançados para a análise da Política Científica e Tecnológica (PCT). O texto toma como referência as contribuições próprias e também dos pesquisadores que conceberam essas abordagens ou que as aplicaram na análise de outras políticas. Abaixo estão críticas a essas contribuições que destacam algumas de suas limitações para o exame do comportamento das comunidades de pesquisa no processo de elaboração do PCT e que sugerem a relevância da abordagem utilizada pelo autor para abordar o PCT latino-americano.
