Progreso, determinismo y pesimismo tecnológico

Resumen

Este trabajo se propone: en primer lugar, retratar las características más importantes del avance tecnológico; en segundo lugar, caracterizar las formas relevantes, las variaciones y las tendencias históricas del determinismo tecnológico; en tercer lugar, discutir críticamente las perpespectivas pre-posmodemas sostenidas por el pesimismo tecnológico en los últimos quince años.

Finalmente, se concluye que si no queremos abandonar la esperanza de una sociedad justa, debemos optar por una suerte de contextualismo que rechace tanto el optimismo tecnocrático como el pesimismo tecnológico extremo.
