This paper presents a set of reflections on the application of the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) in previous case studies regarding social technologies, understood as socio-technical interventions involving individuals, groups or communities in informal contexts of knowledge production and oriented towards promoting social inclusion. We attempt to show how ANT can be useful in studying experiences of this nature, and thus contribute to the analysis of social technologies. In addition, the article aims to point out the limits of ANT when analyzing social technologies, especially in cases that fit the principles of Sociotechnical Adequacy and aim at users' autonomy. Finally, we propose concepts that address these limitations and contribute to the analysis of social technologies and inclusive innovations, such as the open-box concept and passage point no obligatory. We hope that this will enable ANT to be used more often when analyzing social technologies, as its limitations are largely overcome by adopting these concepts.
