Abstract

The aim of this paper is to use some categories from actor-network theory, developed by Bruno Latour in his book Reassembling the Social: An Introduction to Actor-Network-Theory, to analyze a current controversy in the field of cosmology: the existence of dark matter and its characteristics. The central idea running through this article is to try and decipher what kind of agent dark matter is, and to open the discussion on this topic from a sociological perspective.
