Abstract

This dossier compiles a set of works that, from social and cultural history, political science, the economy of innovation, sociology and the anthropology of knowledge, display complementary perspectives on political dynamics, regulations, norms and knowledge related to “medical cannabis”. This seeks to compose a present and historical panoramic view of these processes in Latin America and at the same time contribute to social and historical studies on cannabis, identified with the works of James Bradford, Emily Dufton, Chris Duvall, David Guba, Lina Britto, Lucas Richert, among others, who have been creating a space for international reflection from the American Institute of the History of Pharmacy AIHP, from the University of Wisconsin, from its communication body Pharmacy in History and from the Alcohol and Drugs History Society.
