Abstract

This article is part of a research project that aims to analyze the formation process of a scientific tradition in the Argentine biomedical field at the beginning of the 20th century. For this reason, it focuses on what it defines as a transitional situation during this period at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires. It takes as its point of reference a segment of the basic sciences that progressively expanded its place within the teaching system and contributed to the professional medical training of the time.
