Abstract

Terry Shinn's reflections here are - as always - not only interesting but particularly provocative. Bold assertions, attributed intentions, risky hypotheses, biting commentary: how should one engage with such a text? Little more can be done here than to select a few key points and attempt telegraphic dialogue. Inevitably, this will leave the reader wanting more.
